Angelina Joie drops legal battle over daughter Shiloh

Angelina Jolie has dropped a legal battle over her and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh. Jolie attempted to stop a French perfume maker, Symine Salimpour, from naming her newest perfume “Shiloh.” The actress reportedly filed a notice at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office over the incident.

Salimpour claimed the name of the scent was in no way related to Jolie’s daughter. Jolie dropped the legal battle after five months. “I was so scared. I mean, c’mon, who wouldn’t be?” Salimpour says. “In Hebrew, Shiloh means ‘his gift.’ And I will use the perfume to give something back to the children of Israel and the middle-east,” she says. Salimpour is a citizen of France and Israel.

Five percent of the profits from the perfume will go to an Israeli organization that provides medical care and education to disabled children. Jolie’s lawyer has yet to comment. Shiloh is Jolie and Pitt’s only biological child but, the couple has three adopted children from different countries.
